Throughout my child’s cancer treatments, I’ve found solace and strength in writing poems. Some won’t see the outside of my private journal, but others I’ve submitted to editors.
I share my poems to shed light on the journey children with cancer and their families take, and bring comfort to other families facing devastating diagnoses. I want to let them know they are not alone.
My family and I are grateful for our child to be a patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; it is here that we realized we are not alone. It is here that we’ve been given hope.
Cerasus Magazine Editor John Wilks is donating all profits from Issue #10, which includes one of my poems, to St. Jude. It’s an amazing feeling to know readers will be supporting the patients and families of St. Jude with every purchase of this issue.

My family and I will continue our fight against pediatric cancer. And I will keep writing, because in every verse shared there is both power and peace.
Thank you for visiting my blog, and for your support on our journey to a cure.
With hope,
Stacie & the Eirich family
