Im Abendrot is the fourth and final song in Strauss's song cycle, The Four Last Songs. Written just before his death, these songs are set to poems written by Herman Hesse, Joseph Karl Benedikt & Freiherr von Eichendorff. Nasze wykonanie Modlitwy jest połączone ze zbiórką funduszy na rzecz Ukraińskiego Chóru. Together with choristers from all over the world we sang "Молитва за Україну" - a patriotic hymn published in 1885. Geoffrey Hudson's eco-oratorio A Passion for the Planet is an hour-long oratorio on the subject of climate change. Blending scientific prose, poetry, and sacred texts from many faiths, the libretto traces an arc from beauty and gratitude into darkness and out again into hope. This concert film features commentary from climate scientist Michael E. Mann and the composer, as well as enhanced video by Laudable Productions. The finale incorporates a virtual choir of voices recorded specially for the UN's COP26 meetings in November 2021. Performed by Illuminati Vocal Arts Ensemble, Tony Thornton, artistic director.
